Rhinoplasty
Goal: To change the size and shape of the nose (hump, long and wide nose, broad and asymmetrical tip of the nose, saddle deformity) and correction of the breathing disorders caused by the septal deviation.
Surgical technique: Correction is performed through intranasal incisions, so the scar remains invisible. The aim of the procedure is to change the shape and position of the nasal cartilages and bones, so that the whole nasal appeareance becomes more appealing. Nasal pack and external splint are kept for one week.

Duration and anesthesia: Depending on the type of the operation. usually 70 minutes to 120 min, under local or general anesthesia (for the security of the patient).
Recovery : Until the removal of the nasal packs and the splint after one week, the patient is forced to breathe through the mouth. Most of the edema and ecchymosis usually disappear within that period. Few intranasal stitches are removed after two weeks.
Rare complications: Swollen eyelids and surrounding tissues, mild postop, and/or bleeding.
Pre-operatory evaluation: To procede with this surgery the patient has to take a blood and heart test. In case there is a problem with the exams the surgery could not be done to the patient.
