Buttock Contour Surgery

Goal: Buttock enlargement and/or buttock lift is usually performed using specially designed gluteal implants or with the autologous fat tissue. For the buttock reduction and lifting, superficial liposuction or "tanga lift" are usually performed .

Operative technique: The implants are placed through a vertical incision in the upper part of the gluteal fold, just above the coccygeal bone, one incision for both parts. They are positioned under the great gluteal muscle. The simpler and easier way to augment the buttock is to use own fat tissue aspirated from elsewhere, filtrated and injected into the muscle.

Duration and anesthesia: Usually lasts about 45 min ( 1:30 with liposuccion) in a peridural block.

Recovery: After the surgery the patient must sleep facing down and could not Sitdown for five days. Stitches are removed after seven days, and it is recommended to use a special garment for one month.

Rare complications: Edema and sitting discomfort first few weeks. The implants can be sometimes positioned too high. Fast resorption of the injected fat and cyst formation are also possible, since the large quantity of the fat should be injected.

Pre-operatory evaluation: To proceed with this surgery the patient has to take a blood and heart test. In case there is a problem with the exams the surgery could not be done to the patient.

Cases: Gluteal implants and liposuction.
