Liposuction of the Neck and Cheeks
Goal: Contour refinement of the lower third of the face and neck by removal of the jawline and submental fat deposits.
Operative tecnique: Through small stub incisions on the skin below the chin, a saline solution with anesthetic and adrenalin is infiltrated. With special small diameter cannulas fat is aspirated and thus removed.
Duration and anesthesia: Procedure is performed under local anesthesia and lasts usually 15 - 30 min.
Recovery: After 2 - 3 days elastic compressive bandages are removed, and patient returns to usual activities. Early postoperative massage is recommended.
Rare compications: Transitory bruises and mild edema.
Pre-operatory evaluation: To proceed with this surgery the patient has to take a blood and heart test. In case there is a problem with the exams the surgery could not be done to the patient
